Thank you for your expertise and info about high impact phases. I did
not intend, however, for that specific scenario to be taken literally
rather to demonstrate that we may be assuming that the solar system has
always been like we see it today and I stand by my view that most
probably the planets did not all exist at the same time; that 2 or 3
probably existed before the others completed coalescence; also leaving
open the possibility that other planet(s) may have been here before and
that the asteroid belt should not be ruled out as such based solely on
the immense gravitional field of Jupiter, since it may not have been so
immense at the time, if, indeed, existed at all. Regards, jj
