Hi Ruben and list,

I have an old label (not dated) that I got with one of my Barbotan pieces.
With the help of a nice French guy I was able to read the old writing.
It says:

Frech text (thanks to Renaud Mathieu!):
"Fragment d'environ 9 pouces de diam?tre, pierre qui pass? 7 ? 8 ans,
fit une explosion pr?s de Roquefort au Sessquit(?); elle ?crasa une
chaumi?re, et fit un trou conique d'environ 5 pieds; tua le metayer et
du b?tail."

English translation: 9 inch diameter fragment, stone that made an
explosion 7 or 8 years ago, close to Roquefort, at the Sessquit(?); it
crunched a farm (smallholding) and made a 5 foot conical hole; killed
the farmer and some cattle.

BTW: Roquefort is a synonym of Barbotan
