Hmm, I found in the list archives for August 27 NASA-mailings from our esteemed list-member Ron Baalke. This list is mainly about meteorites. Here you have a first-row-seat for newly recovered meteorites and new meteorite falls, with the fastest and most detailed information. Also much more reliable as that what you commonly read in the newspapers and journals. That list here is a community of private collectors, meteorite hunter and dealers, scientists, reflecting all kind of topics around those stones from space. This list is not run by an institutional organization, but by its members. ADs are naturally necessary - because most meteorites on Earth are recovered and delivered to research by private people, who are not funded by public money, but are self-financed mainly by marketing parts of their finds and because this list is the oldest and largest meteorite-forum of the world, they introduce their meteorites of course here. We have some asteroids-experts here, maybe they can answer your question and perhaps provide you some data, if you could specify more closely, which asteroid-encounters you exactly mean. Perhaps those one, from Sep 7, where Ron had posted about? If you aim more for an observing-oriented information about asteroids and meteors, there exist also an own newsgroup/mailing-list here: http://www.meteorobs.org/ Best!
