I think I got my first meteorite around 2001 (A Space Odyssey?)
I still remember standing in Jerry Armstrong's dining room as he showed me an Allende. It was a pretty little piece, about 12 grams, and full of CAI's. When he told me it predated our Solar System, I was floored. I asked him if I could touch it. He said I could buy it! The rest is history.
