Hi,

    Don Mitchell, student and preserver of data from
the Russian Venera missions, was able, from copies
of the original image data, to apply sophisticated image
reduction to the Venera 13 and 14 images to bring
out a great deal of new detail, resolving features not
senn before. September 11, 2006 story at

    Mitchell's website doesn't have the new pictures yet,
