Hi all -

Past my bedtime, and I feel I'm getting to be a bore,
but - one more post

Right about the waste of money flying men to Mars to
do a couple of robots work. The transportation costs
to and from Mars are too high and will always be to do
any development. On the other hand, we need to build
man tended impact detector systems on the Moon - and
that is what China will do around 2023, along with
mining 3He, if it proves cost effective.

What is being developed with ISS is 1) technologies
for manned Moon flight, and 2)international
cooperation, which will lower the cost of manned space
flight to a sustainable point.

Voila. A full inbox in the morning, filled with the
deranged howlings of the usual Mars Nuts.

good hunting,
Ed
