As Martin already told in his earlier posting to the list, there is a lot of "charme" to this place, for so many reasons. And by the way, by attending you are automatically paying a visit there to Europe?s oldest witnessed fall, the most famous ENSISHEIM meteorite, which is exhibited in the Palais de la R?gence, a famous old building, the very same place where all the folks get together to look, listen and learn about meteorites. Have a look at Hanno?s pictures posted earlier today and you will see what I mean. It is what Tucson and Denver are in a way to the met folks overseas, yet so *very* different! :-) Alex Berlin/Stade, Germany > Hello, > > I just wanted to thank publicly Zelimir and the participants for this > wonderful show in Ensisheim. > This was my first ever exposition to meteorites, I have never been to any > shows, sales, etc... And have only seen meteorites on the Internet, and one > small fragment once in a shop. There in Ensisheim, I couldn't choose where > to look at, it was so many wonderfull things. And it was so many people > whose websites I have visited, whose reports of hunt I have read, etc... > The Saturday evening meal was also something, as Dima, Sacha, Slava and Co > took us at their table. That is how we got to seat at the same table as > Hans Koser, Dean Bessey, and had the visit of Zelimir, and most of the > exhibitors... Waow, that made me shy, but I heard a lot of interesting stories. > > Thanks again, > Best Regards, > > Thom, Bruges, Belgium. > ______________________________________________ > Meteorite-list mailing list > Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > Received on Thu 23 Jun 2005 10:25:24 AM PDT |
