The annual Ensisheim (Alsace/France) show in mid-June, this one having been
the 6th of it?s kind since the inauguration at the turn of the century in
2000, has gradually evolved into *THE* top event for all European
meteorite-lovers, which means that, from a meteorite-related viewpoint, it
even surpasses two of the other much bigger European shows, namely those in
Munich and Ste-Marie-aux-Mines by virtue of concentration on space rocks,
the latter ones being clearly more dominated by mineral showpeople, though
you will also always find a bunch of meteorite people exhibiting there.

As Martin already told in his earlier posting to the list, there is a lot of
"charme" to this place, for so many reasons. And by the way, by attending
you are automatically paying a visit there to Europe?s oldest witnessed
fall, the most famous ENSISHEIM meteorite, which is exhibited in the Palais
de la R?gence, a famous old building, the very same place where all the
folks get together to look, listen and learn about meteorites. Have a look
at Hanno?s pictures posted earlier today and you will see what I mean.

It is what Tucson and Denver are in a way to the met folks overseas, yet so
*very* different! :-)
