Nothing to say against a fat NWA as a doorstop, paperweight or if it displays fine features like fresh crust, orientation, interesting clasts or to fill up the systematical collection with the subgroups of rare classes. But if one has the choice between classified desert stones, I recommend to take those with accurate find data. They cost the same, but will have a higher collector's value. Appreciate the diligent work of the finders. It's more costy and difficult to hunt, than to jet to Morocco to buy it from the dealers there or even to wait until they come to the mineral fairs. Hunters have no guarantee to find something, they pay the costs for import, equipment, shipping, they have the trouble with the classification - but the stuff sells at the same prices at the moment! I heard from a hunter, that last time he let the OCs in the desert and took only the more promising stones, because at the selling prices at the moment OCs are simply not worth to pay the shipping costs. Pervert, isn't it? The stones still are more rare than gold, from other heavenly bodies and how many of us collectors are dreaming, once to find their own meteorite! This had to be said, for those, who expect that a classified meteorite, with accurate and complete find data should be sold at 50$/kg. Hidiho.
