It has, on its margin, a metal flake that is 9mm x 4mm (measured at most extent points) and is just so out of place for the rest of the metal flakes seen in this meteorite (of the pieces I have anyway) and was wondering if this is a common occurance or could it be from an impact? I know a metalugical analysis is called for in this type of question, but asking a large group of people first is easier and cheaper. In my other pieces and even the rest of this piece, the flakes of metal are maybe 1mm max. Thanks for your help in advance. Mark Received on Wed 21 May 2003 07:49:32 PM PDT |
