Hello Mark and List,

Is there other evidence that two boys were killed in 1896 by a =
meteorite? I was under the impression that there were no reported cases =
of people being killed by meteorites.

Cheers,

Mike Tettenborn

  METEOR FALLS

Strikes a House and Kills Two Children - Brings Rain

Chichihua, Mex., July 14. - Particulars have reached here of the fall =
of a meteor in a small mining town of Santos Reis, this state. The =
meteor was of immense size and as it descended through the air it was a =
molten mass of metal. It made its descent at noon, and was accompanied =
by a report louder than that made by a cannon. It struck the house of a =
miner and demolished the building killing two children and then buried =
itself in the ground to a great depth. A large part of the meteor was =
broken off when it struck, and it was sent to the National museum at the =
City of Mexico. There has been no rain in that section for nearly a =
year, but within twenty minutes after the fall of the meteor the sky =
became overcast with clouds and a heavy fall of rain took place.
