The meteor wa= s of immense size and as it descended through the air it was a molten mas= s of metal. It made its descent at noon, and was accompanied by a report = louder than that made by a cannon. It struck the house of a miner and dem= olished the building killing two children and then buried itself in the g= round to a great depth. A large part of the meteor was broken off when it= struck, and it was sent to the National museum at the City of Mexico. Th= ere has been no rain in that section for nearly a year, but within twenty= minutes after the fall of the meteor the sky became overcast with clouds= and a heavy fall of rain took place.
