Hi Rob and all,

As I remember, I was in college at U.C.L.A. (late '50's, I believe) and
there was a lapidary and mineral store, Greigers, in Pasadena (CA) not too
far away from us. We (Richard Norton and I, who were in most of our classes
at the same time) were bouncing around undergraduate Astronomy courses, but
had not yet taken Dr. Leonard's METEORITICS course, so we were not really
infected yet. We bought some little Henburys (about Walnut size), but
couldn't afford to buy them all. I found one Henbury that was like a 1/2
Walnut shell, hollow inside. A true "hollow" meteorite. I still have it.
Strangest shape I've seen. I remember that Richard saw it first but could
not afford the 75 cent price tag, so I jumped on it. (Must be worth double
that now! :=) Hmmmm..I'll put it up as my picture of the month on my
website if anyone wants to see it, but won't have time to do so until the
weekend .) Then I found Ward's Natural Science Est. mail order and bought a
nice Potter, NB. and a Branham. Next was Nininger's American Meteorite
Laboratory in Denver. Bought a lot of stuff there! By that time, the
disease had spread and was inoperable! Now its totally out of control, but
what the heck! :=)

By the way, Rob did the homepage logo of the blazing meteoroid approaching
Earth, and background for my meteorite1.com website.
