Hi Mike and All,
The blue crystal desiccants can be used a few in a batch of the white crystaled
ones. The blue ones will turn when saturated. Mike is right about keeping the
meteorite off the blue crystals but if kept in the corner away from the slices
or what ever, then they can be used as an indicator to recharge your drier. The
blue crystals contain small amounts of chloride which are not good for
meteorites. The amount in them though are quite small but for a rust prone
meteorite that is not good. Keeping them in the corner to check the rest of
your drier is a good method for checking without having to have all blue
crystals which should not be used.
