It had to be exported by the Diplomatic corps in the late 50's and went straight to the Swiss Museum of Natural History. It is a miracle that any of it got out to us private collectors at all. There are 5 California falls, with hundreds of specimens in private collections, and 275 other meteorites from California. Who cares how many buyers from the Mid-East there are? Why are you not getting this...? Kandahar is a rare historic fall. Creston is a new fall that you can still buy on ebay and other websites. One is rare the other by comparison is not. Whether you base the definition of rare on simple numbers of available specimens, or historic value, a specimen like Kandahar is rare. Plain and simple. Anyway... Getting late here... Not gonna respond on this any more. Waste of time... How many BUYERS from the mid east are there?. I'm sorry but you're assessement of fresh American witnessed falls no matter what the cost is BS. Find me some illinois falls/finds other than PF. > > And in all simplicity can you discount one L6 to another in the same thread? > > Due Regards, > Bil > > ________________________________________ > From: Bigjohn Shea <bigjohnshea at mail.com> > Sent: Monday, December 7, 2015 8:33 PM > To: bill kies > Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] AD-New additions, no reserve auctions.
