Thank you Michael, nice to know that you still read the MetList. ;-)
And I will be there too.

And since we are talking about the Ensisheim Show, I have been meaning
to tell all of you and particularly the thin-section collectors that
this year I will have even more than I usually do.

Earlier this year I concluded a nice trade with Arizona State
University (Thank you Laurence!) and I received a box full of
thin-sections, some are famous (Allende, New Concord, Plainview.....)
some are rare (ever heard of Coomandook, Huntsman or Ulysses?) most are
ordinary chondrites but there are a few HED too, mostly Pasamonte,
Sioux County, Shalka. Anyone interested?

Also I will get just on time for Ensisheim my very first batch of
thin-sections cut from a pairing of NWA 7325, the green meteorite. This
one is NWA 8409, not published yet but here is what Dr. Irving has to
say about it:

SJS13004 (= NWA 8409) Ungrouped magnesian achondrite
The specimens have an overall primary cumulate igneous texture, and are
composed mainly of calcic plagioclase, Cr-bearing diopside
(Fs1.8-2.2Wo44.3-43.8; FeO/MnO = 12-15) and forsterite (Fa4.5-4.6;
FeO/MnO = 36-41) with accessory Cr-bearing troilite and kamacite.
Lobate forsterite grains are commonly associated with elongate pores.
Grain boundaries between plagioclase and diopside exhibit a complex
texture consisting of plagioclase laths within diopside or vice-versa,
together with finely distributed kamacite and troilite inclusions.
This material is paired with NWA 7325 and NWA 8014.

Of course, do let me know if you are interested by one of those.

Thank you.

I'll be there as usual. I think in the 15 years I only missed one? I am
coming a
lot lighter this year so if you want something specific, let me know in
advance.
