One would think that there is a desire to dampen the spirits of those who might want to look for the meteorites. I've noticed this same dynamic in play with other falls. Seems like the hunters would encourage other people to show up and join them, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Perhaps I'm wrong.....I hope so.
