Hi Shawn,

In the scan that begins at 01:58:13, there are 5 "hits" in the general area:
from the west side of Levon Lake, to the pair southeast of Lake Takakoni,
to another pair southeast of Lake Fork Reservoir near Quitman. There is
really nothing "special" about any of these returns to single them out as
being conclusively associated with the meteor since they don't persist, and
do not show up in multiple cut angles. After all, you can go back to the
01:40:47 scan at the same elevation angle (0.5-deg lowest cut angle) and
find equally compelling solo returns (e.g. between route 80 and I-20 due
south of Lake Tawakoni) that can't possibly be due to the bolide.

So, without very solid witness information in the immediate area, you
can't really tell which returns might be meteor-related as there are
too many false positives of equal or even greater strength. Given the
weakness of the radar returns on this one (assuming there are any!),
about all you can do is interview a lot of people and make a judgment
call on which radar returns to pursue, and which ones to ignore.
