Hey! that's the Iron Creek meteorite!
I just did some research on that one, and Thank you Mr Buchwald for
your marvelous books.
Yes that meteorite was moved to a Museum and within months the local
Indian nations were decimated by a smallpox epidemic. What meteorites
go thru after they land is endlessly amazing!

And yes there is a small slice of Iron Creek in the large collection I
just bought. No need for export papers with this one, it was cut and
the slices traded out in the late 1880s, so it left Canada some 3/4 of
the century before that law. And this slice came from NEMS.

Tom, do let me know if you find more on this new meteorite dispute.
