I just did some research on that one, and Thank you Mr Buchwald for your marvelous books. Yes that meteorite was moved to a Museum and within months the local Indian nations were decimated by a smallpox epidemic. What meteorites go thru after they land is endlessly amazing! And yes there is a small slice of Iron Creek in the large collection I just bought. No need for export papers with this one, it was cut and the slices traded out in the late 1880s, so it left Canada some 3/4 of the century before that law. And this slice came from NEMS. Tom, do let me know if you find more on this new meteorite dispute. Thank you. Anne M.
