"You may notice one thing odd about my auctions. I dont list any weights. Please dont email - I wont tell you how much a specimen weighs! If you really want to know, bid high on the piece! In my humble opinion meteorites are nature's artwork. I'd like to have people bid based upon the quality of the work and the look of the finished piece. If you want to buy something by weight nip on down to the local Tesco and buy a kg of cheese! ;)"

I emailed the guy anyway and asked about the weight. His response was a restatement of the above.

I think I'll apply his concept to my bidding - I will only divulge the currency that I pay with after I win the numerical bidding contest. Algerian Dinars is a possibility, but I'm not promising anything because Pakistani rupees also look good.
