Opheim, MT looks to be winter wheat farming country, with areas of range land around that. Its been snowing on & off here at my airpark in Wa. But the snow melts quickly once the sun comes out. Temps in Opheim MT. are mid 40 day & mid 20 night till Thursday & Friday then 30 percent rain & snow. Thanks a bunch Marc. Looks like I might need to load up the Lance camper on to the Dodge & drive north into Cold & windy N.E. MT for a week. Waiting for a bit more intel before I hit the highway Scott Johnson U.S. AirBorne Sport Aviation LLC Eagles Nest Airpark Sport Pilot C.F.I WSC-L WSC-S www.usairborne.com info at usairborne.com Office 509-780-0554 Cell 509-780-8377 -------------------------------------------------- From: "Marc Fries" <MFRIES8 at HOTMAIL.COM> Sent: Saturday, April 09, 2011 6:14 PM To: "Meteorite-list List" <meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com> Subject: [meteorite-list] Montana/Sask event, 07 Apr 0920 UTC > Howdy all > > I've got limited internet access at the moment, but could someone have a > look at the town of Opheim, MT as the possible location of the > Montana/Saskatchewan fireball reported for 07 Apr 2011, ~0920 UTC? > Specifically, a location southeast of that town but not over the county > line. > > This fireball was reported on AMS as event 381a and 382b. > > Approximate coords: 48.746170 N, -106.190109 W > > I see a potential meteorite signature in data from the KGGW radar near > that location, with radar returns from near ground level up to ~84,000' > altitude.
