Here it is: http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/faq/index.cfm?Category=Mars#q9 What is NASA's official opinion as to what the 'face' on Mars is? NASA has no official opinion on what the so-called "face" on Mars is. Most planetary scientists agree that the image is a combination of a natural feature and lighting conditions that formed to make ' a face.' More detailed images since the Viking missions show it to be a normal hill. Since this is a bit off-topic from meteorites, I'd suggest further discussions of this be taken offline.
