I would not want the agenda to change if I had Already donated money for one cause and others decided a different Cause were better. If I hear (off list) from each and every contributor that that is Their desire, fine - otherwise, $ will be spent as per the originally Presented project. Of course, meteorites from other venues are welcome And if others want to begin a fund for additional schools, that, too, is Fine and dandy. However, soliciting funds for a stated goal holds with It an obligation to use those funds for said goal. Best wishes, Michael On 5/21/10 3:57 PM, "Linton Rohr" <lintonius at earthlink.net> wrote: > That's what I was thinking too, Steve, but I haven't even been up there so > what do I know? > It might even be more meaningful, even more appropriate, to have a stone > found by a local. > That's, of course, in addition to the donated selection. > Linton > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <meteorhntr at aol.com> > To: "Matson, Robert D." <ROBERT.D.MATSON at saic.com>; > <meteorite-list-bounces at meteoritecentral.com>; <Impactika at aol.com>; > <mlblood at cox.net> > Cc: <meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com> > Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 3:46 PM > Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] WisconsinSchool project - Suggestion > > >> Anne and all, >> >> There are also locals who have and who will find meteorites that might be >> very happy to give (or permanently loan) a meteorite that would stay >> local, instead of just keeping it in their sock drawer or safety deposit >> box. >> >> Steve Arnold >> Of Meteorite Men >> Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: "Matson, Robert D." <ROBERT.D.MATSON at saic.com> >> Date: Fri, 21 May 2010 15:29:58 >> To: <Impactika at aol.com>; <mlblood at cox.net> >> Cc: <meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com> >> Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] WisconsinSchool project - Suggestion >> >> Hi Anne, >> >> I completely agree.
