It was the beautiful Murchison CM2 meteorite which has been the subject of much scientific interest over the last four decades. It's this meteorite which sparked much interest in the contained amino acids and the burgeoning theories of meteorites seeding life on Earth. Happy Birthday Murchison. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&um=1&sa=1&q=murchison+meteorite Cheers, Jeff Kuyken Meteorites Australia www.meteorites.com.au Director - I.M.C.A. A friend of mine was in Murchison today and no one had any idea it was the 40th Anniversary even though there was a big celebration for the 30th! ;-) Received on Mon 28 Sep 2009 06:34:21 AM PDT |
