Thanks... I forgot to mention that there is allowances in US Copyright
law that allow publication of a copyrighted work for "editorial" and
educational" use which falls under "Fair Use" guidelines spelled out in
the law. However there is also a provision in the law concerning
commercial gain that does protect copyrighted works from overtly
commercial use even if the use is claimed to be editorial or educational
by the publisher. For example if a compilation of "works" is sold either
through the reproduction of the work on CD, or through a subscription
for access to the works. Then this could be viewed as an infringement on
the copyright of a particular group of works either individually or
singularly.
