I'd like to thank everyone who responded both on and offlist in
regards to this object. The island of Ireland does indeed have 6
recovered falls so if it had have been a meteorite it would have been
the first find. The general consensus aligns with my initial thoughts on
the object, that it is most likely terrestial.
I told the finder that I would put his pictures of the object
and his findings on it in front of the most knowledgable people on the
planet and that I have done.Again, thanks for your thoughts.

Whoever chose that particular passage from The Fallen Sky to post in a
blog has done the sales of it no favours. Was it not proofread?

"The curves of metal looks like sinuous paths..."

curves don't looks,they look of course.This is basic grammar.Anyway,
that would put me off the book straight away but I'm picky like that.
Maybe it was transcribed incorrectly from the book. For the authors sake
I hope this is the case.
