The progression of photos shows that the "crater" was getting bigger and bigger (it's big enough for the guy to sit in in the last few photos), so it was definitely widened as the guy was looking for more pieces of the meteorite. But, even the original pit has a cratered look to it, and others have told us on this list that a meteorite that small shouldn't cause a crater, so I have my doubts about this one too. But I'm still a newbie, so I will leave this one to the experts. I do find it hard to believe that the small craters were formed from these stones. The craters look dug and appear too large and deep for the little rocks your are displaying. Am I missing something? I learned on this list more than 500kg were found, and tents kilos were offered for sale, and I'm asking for photos of even 500g. > > Thank you > Aid > > > > > > > > ______________________________________________ > http://www.meteoritecentral.com > Meteorite-list mailing list > Meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > > ______________________________________________ http://www.meteoritecentral.com Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list Received on Sun 25 Jan 2009 01:12:43 PM PST |
