Hello everyone,

Folks have been asking about events to see at the show this year, but I haven?t seen much mention of the first Arizona Meteorite Exhibition on Jan 30th at the U of A LPL. I?m definitely planning to attend.

So on a related note, I was talking to someone at work about their Christmas break visit to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and it reminded me of something that?s been bothering me for some time. The Desert Museum is outstanding in all aspects, except for the meteorite display. I thought with the upcoming exhibition and Tucson show events, that it would be a good time to suggest some of us get together and volunteer to help the museum set up a more visible and better supplied display of meteorites (most notably Arizona meteorites). And maybe info about the list could be incorporated in the display and help attract more people into the forum. I?d be willing to help out with design/construction and maybe put some specimens on consignment (though I?m sure for every specimen I have there are hundreds more worthy of display).

So are there any other ?locals? who may have time to help out with something like that?? I'm sure they would welcome such interest in the museum.
