We all write things privately that are not meant for public dissemination, and imagine if some of those emails escaped? Well, one did. I regret it, I can't change it, I wish I could, but too late. I want to explain a little about why my temper can be short, and of course, you can all make your own conclusions about what I do. I did some calculations this morning, here is how they break down In the last 4 months, I have been in my home a total of less than 23 days. The longest period at home was 8 days. Since 1 September, I have been to Colombia TWO times, Peru and Bolivia, and Spain. I had 48 hours between each of those trip. Now imagine in the last 30 days, I have been on 25 flights. Average of nearly one per day! Now think of the stress that goes with that, both with family and financial issues, and the physical problems of time zone changes and lack of sleep caused by these changes. I have flown more than 40 thousand miles in the last month. I have purchased more than $12,000 in plane tickets and rental cars and hotels in the last 30 days. Below is a cut and paste of my American Airlines account. So when the Peru issues began, this has already caused me much concern, stress and a hair trigger. If you think this is a normal life to lead, I invite anyone to travel beside me and see how it goes. I hope that I can stay home until Munich show, relax a little, decompress. Please think about what goes into getting meteorites for both collectors and science, there is risk, cost, and a lot of work. Park Forest was a godsend, Moss was nice, but most meteorites do not seem to fall in easy to get to places. Michael Farmer Below is a cut and past of the last 30 days of my American Airlines flights.
