On page 559 following of "Northwards Over The Great Ice", Vol. II, the great explorer gives the only scientificly confirmed report of how a couple of dogs got killed by a meteorite. More precisely, they got drowned by the "Woman". I have paraphrased the episode on my website: http://www.meteorite-recon.com/en/Meteorite%20literature%20collection_3.htm Just in case, this is intended as a post about Greenland meteorites, we do not want to talk about Egypt, won't we. cheers Svend ----- Original Message ----- From: "chris aubeck" <caubeck at gmail.com> > Hi list, > > As some of you know, I am always looking for stories of strange > meteorites for my folklore archive. > > These can be old or new tales, fragmentary or anecdotic or full > reports.
