I kinda knew the Library of Alexandria was coming as soon as you mentioned the two possible methods of safeguarding. Qhile the curation and storing of these artifacts in institutions is vitally important, that they are locked away invisible to all but a select few is a travesty. I'm proud to show off my limited collection to anyone who shows an interest. Who is doing science the greater service? OK it's the Natural History Museum, isn't it...Well I'm doing my bit!
