Must say I am surprised the people in the pictures with the areogel are not fully suited up with total enclosure suits, (they have just got overalls and token face masks), I would have assumed it would have been done like the lunar samples i.e in box/glove box under nitrogen or something... Or perhaps is it a case of, cross contamination is not a problem because the samples are imbedded deep within the aerogel? Naturally biological containment/paranoia is not an issue like it was with the Apollo samples but I would have thought another level of sterileness would be warranted on such small samples. Excuse my ignorance but I need to know!
