Two postings that I made did not make it to the list concerning this feature; sorry if they should suddenly appear after this post. I have a hunch that there is another one nearby. BTW...The feature is 70+/-Km from the town listed in the original article. So for now, it is Stefan`s (i wrote earlier that i had been eying this bulls-eye for more than two months, but have been absent from computer and had not confirmed with others on the feature) candidate for an impact crater in the area. The age appears not to match the age given in the article. My congratulations to the Jordanian team did not make it to the list either. Keep on Seeking and you will FIND! dirk ross...tokyo....time to calculate some Smoots! 5.8Km=nSmoots? I will let someone else take a roll on this one. Paint your ears well!!! drs...Tokyo --- Darren Garrison <cynapse_at_charter.net> wrote: > On Mon, 7 Aug 2006 13:38:15 -0700 (PDT), you wrote: > > >I attempted to > >forward the google earth link to the list but it > >appears that it has bounced due to the attachment. > > Here's Dirk's Google Earth link: > > http://webpages.charter.net/garrison6328/GoogleEarth_Placemark.kmz > ______________________________________________ > Meteorite-list mailing list > Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > Received on Mon 07 Aug 2006 06:01:49 PM PDT |
