[Image] Sep 29, 2005: Steep Scarps - This view of Tethys' surface, taken during Cassini's close approach to the moon on September 24, 2005, reveals an icy land of steep cliffs. [Image] Sep 29, 2005: Old Northern Terrains - The northern polar region of Tethys, seen in this Cassini flyby image, is a ponderously ancient surface. [Image] Sep 29, 2005: "Hi-Res" on Tethys - These two views are the closest Cassini images of Tethys' icy surface that were taken during the September 24, 2005 flyby. [Image] Sep 29, 2005: Tethys in Full View - With this fabulous, full-disk mosaic, Cassini presents the best view yet of the south pole of Tethys. Received on Thu 29 Sep 2005 08:02:49 PM PDT |
