I think that to be listed as a great meteorite hunter, you need to have
found a meteorite or two, there are some called meteorite hunters who havent
found a meteorite.

Actually, at Danebury England, in about 500 BC, iron age 'meteorite
hunters' buried a meteorite (an H5) in a pit in the iron age hill fort,
does that count!?

The first meteorite hunters its appear at the 1700,
for sure here in Italy when its fall the Albareto and
Siena, in Europe for sure in the 1492 when Ensisheim
its fall
