     FIREBALL HOLE: Discovery of a huge meteorite crater - the third largest
known crater in which meteoritic materials have been found - in northern
Chile by a Columbia University Chilean expedition was announced Monday by
the National Science Foundation.
     The hole has a diameter of nearly three miles and an average depth of
100 feet. The exact location was not made public, so as to avoid curiosity
seekers.
