Hello Walter, David and list members,

I will email Dr. Bunch and inquire to both of these excellent questions. I
just obtain this new material and let the scientists do their work, then I
pass it on to the collectors. Wait and see what we announce over the next
couple months, stay tuned...

Walter Branch writes:
"Really? He said it was "very unique"
"Would you please ask Dr. Bunch to clarify the term "very unique."

David Weir kindly inquires:
"For those of us who are strictly type collectors, I guess I'm not the
only one, are they not making the extra effort any longer to determine a
metamorphic subclassification for mesosiderites? I haven't noticed a
subclassification on any since the 2C was released over two years ago."

I wrote (quoting Dr. Ted Bunch):
"This (NWA 2711) is a very unique Mesosiderite

Best regards,

Greg
