I know it's a relatively easy process, and it seems to me the small effort would increase the beauty and value of it... Just a thought... Pete From: bernd.pauli_at_paulinet.de To: Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com Subject: [meteorite-list] Another Ebay fraud? Date: 09 Aug 2005 19:53:11 UT Hello Darren, Pete, Jörn and List, "... my opinion this is a fraud. This sphere rather looks like some terrestrial ore." My guess is that what the seller is offering is a (partially corroded) Nantan (IIICD). "partially corroded" ... this would explain the lower than expected density of the item offered. We all know what the ultimate fate of most Nantans is, so the "big eye" or the interior of the sphere might be a corrosion product. Any further comments?
