I heard a ex NASA scientist say that this was another low cost mission and they should have spent more money on testing the parachute system. What is it with these low budget missions, they seem to fail a lot. Who is behind NASA's tight budget (at the time of launching) ? Thanks, Tom peregrineflier <>< IMCA 6168 http://www.frontiernet.net/~peregrineflier/Peregrineflier.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Meteoryt.net" <marcin_at_meteoryt.net> To: <meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 08, 2004 9:28 AM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Genesis parachute failure > > > > Very bad news on Genesis probe -- drogue chute did not deploy and > > spacecraft impacted the desert floor... --Rob > > So we have another fall :) > S**t happends > > -----[ MARCIN CIMALA ]-----[ I.M.C.A.#3667 ]----- > http://www.Meteoryt.net marcin_at_meteoryt.net > http://www.PolandMET.com marcin_at_polandmet.com > http://www.Gao-Guenie.com GSM +48(607)535 195 > --------[ Member of: Polish Meteoritical Society ]-------- > > ______________________________________________ > Meteorite-list mailing list > Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > Received on Wed 08 Sep 2004 12:40:50 PM PDT |
