Perry Arizona Inn Tucson, Arizona Dear Dr. Perry: Dr. Nininger has informed you, I believe, that I have worked out a propos= ed plan that is fully consistent with University policies, whereby the di= sadvantages of the earlier proposal would be eliminated and any amount wh= ich you would pay over to the University for the purpose of assisting Dr.= Nininger in his research on meteorites in Mexico could be handled. This would involve the University's paying the compensation to Dr. Nining= er in the form of fees for services rendered, and he would be required on= ly to make a report of his travel and his research findings and to leave = with the University significant samples of meteoritic material. Dr. Nininger has informed me that you have already dispatched a letter to= another institution setting forth the proposal for the consideration of = that institution. I assure you that the University of Arizona is interest= ed in the project and wants to cooperate with you in your interest in dev= eloping further research in the field of meteorites. Should you and Dr. N= ininger wish to consider the matter further at a later date, I shall be g= lad to hear from you. In the meantime, please accept my cordial personal regards, Sincerely yours, (signed) Richard A.
