The owner of the piece was wanting $750.00 in trade for a 1.1 specimen. The dealer offering the Monahans states it was a private email and no set dollar amount had been made but only $750.00 in value for the Monahans had been made which might have been acquired for a much lower price in times past. Ed Albin offer to ship a bound copy of his Georgia tektites and the North American tektite strewn field. You only needed to provide postage or a small slice that was capable of a microprobe. A meteorite dealer offered up the only three privately owned lunars. CALCALONG CREEK .030 grams DAG262 .326 grams DAG400 .030 grams, a specimen of all 3 lunar meteorites in private hands for a mere $20,000.00 A list member reported a false UK Meteorite Fall and offered details published by a newspaper for the list. Two slices of Etter Texas was being offered by a list member. Robert Verish posted a message on micro meteorites and gathering them. Another list member had been trying to do the same but found the information Robert had provided very handy. A tv program on fire in the sky was broadcast and it was suggested that the cow was falsely blamed for the Chicago Fire. It has been alleged that a possible fall of a meteor might have caused the fire instead. Later list messages indicated that most meteorites that fall are cold to the touch from space.
