I had too much weight to take on the = plane and not enough time to ship so I rented a car and drove home with = my goodies. 1429 miles in 21 hours flat. Stopped only for gas. I picked up a couple of nice specimens from an old collection and will = post photos sometime this week. In the mean time, here is a photo taken = on August 27th of Mars from Evolution Lake in the high Sierra (10,500 = ft. and no light pollution). It was our first attempt at trying to get = a star trail exposure so be kind!!! This was the 11th night of our John = Muir Trail trip. It took us 19days to hike the 211 miles from Yosemite = Valley to the top of Mt. Whitney. Mars was blazing at us almost every = night on the trip. http://www.photo.net/photodb/image-display?photo_id=3D1752778&size=3Dlg Best Wishes to all.......
