All,

We've been lucky enough to obtain a good portion of the mass of NWA 1465, a=20
recently discovered CV3. This CV3 is quite unusual, and was originally=20
ungrouped. I've been waiting until the full abstract was released before mak=
ing=20
pieces available to collectors. The price will be $25 per gram If you are=20
interested please contact me off the list. Here's an excerpt from the Meteor=
itical=20
Bulletin;

Northwest Africa 1465
  Western Sahara
  Found 2001
  Carbonaceous chondrite (CV3)=20
Many pieces totaling 3000 g and mostly covered with fusion crust were=20
found in 2001 by an anonymous finder in the Western Saharan desert.=20
Classification and mineralogy (A. Greshake, MNB and M. Kurz, Kurz): a=20
type 3 carbonaceous chondrite with chondrules, mineral fragments, and=20
refractory objects in a compact anhydrous matrix of Fe-rich olivine=20
(Fa43-57.6), Ca-rich pyroxene, enstatite, forsterite, troilite,=20
magnetite, FeNi-metal, and weathering products; olivine, Fa5.5 (range=20
Fa0.4-41.9); pyroxene, Fs2.8 (range Fs0.8-5.5); shows a strong=20
foliation defined by flattened chondrules and refractory objects; the=20
sample contains cm-sized Ca,Al-rich inclusions and large inclusions=20
of dark material; oxygen isotope composition of the bulk meteorite=20
(R. Clayton and T. Mayeda, UChi): d18O =3D 4.89, d17O =3D 0.71 per mil;=20
oxygen isotope composition of dark material, d18O =3D 13.08, d17O =3D=20
5.83 per mil., is not in equilibrium with the host meteorite. Shock=20
stage, S4; degree of weathering, W3. Specimens: type specimen, 21.8=20
g, and one polished thin section, MNB; main mass with anonymous=20
finder. See also Greshake et al (2003), LPSC 34, #1559
