[meteorite-list] weathering grade

Hi all,

Weathering seems to be a pretty gray area, at least to me. There are so many
factors upon factors involved. Is there a specific outline accepted by most
that defines what is generally proposed in most classifications? Or as in
obvious fresh falls, is it just a matter of eye-balling a specimen, a
judgement call of tactile degree?
