Dear List;
We have a meteorite list that is dedicated to meteorites, meteorite
science, meteorite commerce, meteorite politics, meteorite humor,
meteorite personalities. Meteorites seem to be the central focus of
this "meteorite list", isn't that interesting how that happens.
From time to time, we have issues in the world that spring out of the
depths of humanity and current events that generally are not fully
appropriate for the list but, it is a speck of life that bounces reality
or non reality around for us to ponder/savor or not to savor.
Seems in these times, political issues and personal agendas are thrown
in every time there is a disagreement of any kind. Especially by the
mentally weak, and those that are thin skinned, and those who have eaten
to many sour grapes.
I have to strongly PRAISE the good hearted ribbing that the guys have
taken, and offer them my postier to roast next if we can con the UNKNOWN
web comic to do a "meteorite roast" page.
I think part of loving our meteorites is also loving those that collect
them. Some of those who collect meteorites are odd fella's a little bit
but that is a cross section of life and humanity. I are odd too!
I think much of our lives, and our meteorite lives all boil down to too
much academia or macadamia any way. Too bad that once in a while someone
whines but that is to be expected since we are all humans and sometimes
the wolf pack mentality is a bit refreshing when we get a good hearted
sacrificial lamb to pounce on or in this case ...a small surprised flock!
I too have waved that tiny white hoof that says in my usual lack of
mentality, "pick me" stupid! Baaaahhh (now I know where it fits in
finally!)!
As enlightened human beings from many cultures, it is even a bit
refreshing to see a little meteorite soap opera unfold on occasion.
The most recent "bout" was the funniest episode that I have seen in a
very long time, and the guys need congratulated for allowing us a brief
laugh with them when for the most part many of us are in a struggle of
one kind or another, if not in the general struggle to keep up. A little
light heartiness is what I really needed and seems most needed it. and
even more than a new meteorite!
The guys took a great jesting and, well, the prankster did capture an
essence of each notable personality that I could identify with with
ease, and for the most part make grand humor out of it.
We truly have a wealth of "good stuff" here to entertain and enlighten
us at all levels of life and meteorite life... Now who was that single
voice whining in the dark? Lets save the poor fell agony and all
agree...if everyone could forward one box of Kleenex, it would save the
world from hunger, two rolls of toilet paper and the rain forest will be
cleared to grow more food, one old news paper for everyone to do a three
stooges routine with....nyuck, nyuck!
I too have been seeking employment and have a job interview with a long
time friend which has already noted that I am needed. Being needed is a
good thing.
Pick me baaaah,
Dave F.
