I will contact Blaine Reed today, to get a sample of his R5. This will = be sorted out. Just one note on looks in hand specimens. YOU CAN NOT go = on looks alone. Take Portales Valley, some samples totally metal rich = veins. Some samples H6 stone with almost no metal. Same meteorite, looks = like they are from different universes. Brenham, I have seen tones of = the normal olivine pallasite. Then I have seen pieces with nice = octahedrite iron, no olivine's. Are we getting the point yet? Everyone = knows that meteorites can change drastically from piece to piece but be = the same meteorite. I was told in Morocco that my pieces came from the = same one that Dean got some of, and I think the rest might have gone to = David Gregory, which is where Blaine got his from. R5 is an extremely rare type, and unless you think a whole cluster of = separate R5 showers happened in NWA recently (they are all very fresh), = then just like so many other NWA meteorites, these are paired.=20 Mike Farmer PS, sorry Matteo, no fighting here, no need for it. This is a proper = discussion, the type that this list was made for.=20 ------=_NextPart_000_0111_01C31F72.4F9985E0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2600.0" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hello once again.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I will contact Blaine Reed today, to = get a sample=20 of his R5.
