Hi Rosie,

There has been a thread going on about this (on our list). If you deleted your
messages then go to the meteorite central website and you can read the threat. In
short she is a lady who writes children's books, who thinks a meteorite landed in her
grandmother's and grandfather's property out on the farm. Several list members have
seen the so called meteorite and it is in fact a rock. She gets paid big bucks to go
and tell her stories to children (not a bad thing) but passes around the meteorwrong
as an authentic meteorite when it is not. Some list members think that is all right
and the kids won't know the difference others myself included think this is deceptive
and wrong.

Mark B. is offering her a free meteorite with the understanding she can accept it if
she will use that instead of the meteorwrong. She can't sell the specimen or continue
to use the meteorwrong according to the more than fair offer.
