Thus your area in probaby in California or Arizona. There ARE geologic maps of this area. They may be of a regional nature, but if detailed, your "crater field" probably would have been found. Don't know about any maps if your area happens to be in northern Mexico. At any rate, the geologic maps will give you the bedrock geology of the area at the very least. As for your crater evidence, you'll have to map it out yourself in a detailed manner on a topo map or air photo. You just have to make sure your evidence is bonafide, and not based on wishful thinking. As to another photographic piece of "evidence" you have provided titled "Third glass and debris imbedded fuzed quartz nodule". The debris appears to be plant casts where tufa has precipitated around plant material in a hot spring environment. Note the small black holes in the centers of the "debris". Can't tell about the "glass" from the photo but it appears to be a secondary mineral. What is the hardness of the "glass" and are there any crystal forms in it; cleavage faces, etc.??? This "glass" also appears to lie along a faint bedding plane in the photo titled "A second green glass impacted, fuzed quartz nodule". Again, your "glass" appears to be secondary mineralization. I've been looking for body of knowledge, theses, maps ANYTHING to help. There is nothing. I am writing the book apparently. Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
