Hello all,
I recently purchased a very interesting slice of Sikhote-Alin from
Schoolers Inc. with a number of inclusions. Troilite and schreibersite I
can identify but in the middle of the slice there is a significant black
inclusion of what appears to be graphite. And within the graphite are
several rounded, yellowish crystals from 1-2.5mm across. One of them
has a clean oval shape that looks exactly like a chondrule. Could these
be olivine? Has anyone else seen silicates in Sikhote slices?
Thanks for your interest and help,
Bob
