As a side note to that....

I believe that 'Ashes' in Arabic is 'Al-qali' meaning 'the thing that
was roasted' it would be interesting to read the original translation; I
bet it's been misinterpreted...

Why must this assume that the dog actually died? I've seen a .45 cal.=20
bullet bounce off a dogs head.-- knocked him cold/wacky for a few=20
minutes but he lived.
