Another point in the nomad's favor: their expectations about meteorites
haven't been "polluted" by popular western media. It is much easier to
train a "clean slate" than one that Hollywood has already written on.

While I applaud the efforts of those who put together fine websites to
help people differentiate meteorites from terrestrial rocks, there is ample
evidence that words and pictures are not enough for most (as evidenced
by the very low signal-to-noise ratio of samples mailed to people like
Steve). I think pictures are really only helpful to someone who knows
*how* to look at them -- a skill that is better taught one-on-one. --Rob
